Bamboo Honey comes from the American bamboo plant, also known as Japanese knotweed. Although it provides a significant source of nectar to honeybees when little else is blooming, this plant is an undesirable invasive plant.
We recommend using Bamboo Honey in autumn and winter baked goods, bread, pies, cookies, and cakes. Perfect in coffee! We have also used it in honey roasted butternut squash and chia seed pudding. Try using it raw on yogurt, ice cream, and pancakes. We enjoy bamboo honey on toast with a pat of butter and drizzle of honey, or in baked bread. Try baking
jewish apple cake with it in place of processed sugar.
